For those of you unaware, in Australia it is ILLEGAL not to vote. Which I think is a great idea as it ensure that the opinions of those who are of age in Australia are all heard rather than "Eh, I can't be bothered" or "It won't make a difference anyway so I won't vote" and then start complaining about who is in power.
So, being overseas sometimes you are faced with an election, and rather than it be in an embassy close by it is actually in a different state. Right now we are coming up to the State elections in Victoria; the only places I can vote at are in L.A, Washington DC and San Francisco. That's the equivalent of making the option for voting in Australia either Broome or Melbourne. If you are near a city that you can vote at great, if you aren't but can still make the trip, great! But if you are in my position and don't have the time to travel you have an option.
VICTORIA: Fill out this overseas notification and send it into the address (there is an email and postal option) to let them know you are unable to vote and you won't get fined.
FEDERAL: This is the form which you desire
Enjoy your travels!
Rantings and Ravings. Also some occasionally some helpful information I hope..

UPDATE: I'm no longer 22; but I am unemployed again now at 25.
So I said that I would be able to blog while I was on my week off from my boat working week. I said this early 2013...
...yeah working on a tall-ship makes you tired. It was an adventure which now is over. For my work I did have to write blogs about being onboard, but never did I update my personal blog. I am finishing up my last few days and will be unemployed again, looking for a job. The links posted below are what I wrote for my "onboard" blog at the end of last year and then another one for when I came back. I think that this entry will give you a good summary of my life. I have also included some photos in this post as a photo diary

What are my plans now?
Well I am still here in NYC for the time being, I am going to travel to Europe for 7 days and then on to Vietnam. I have always said that I am settler not a traveler, so for once I thought I should travel rather than settle because everyone tells me how wonderful it is. I will be travelling and crashing on friends' couches around the US. Hopefully I will give anyone out there a nice blog entry for those too.
