PSA For Australians overseas and having to vote

For those of you unaware, in Australia it is ILLEGAL not to vote. Which I think is a great idea as it ensure that the opinions of those who are of age in Australia are all heard rather than "Eh, I can't be bothered" or "It won't make a difference anyway so I won't vote" and then start complaining about who is in power.

So, being overseas sometimes you are faced with an election, and rather than it be in an embassy close by it is actually in a different state. Right now we are coming up to the State elections in Victoria; the only places I can vote at are in L.A, Washington DC and San Francisco. That's the equivalent of making the option for voting in Australia either Broome or Melbourne. If you are near a city that you can vote at great, if you aren't but can still make the trip, great! But if you are in my position and don't have the time to travel you have an option.

VICTORIA: Fill out this overseas notification and send it into the address (there is an email and postal option) to let them know you are unable to vote and you won't get fined.

FEDERAL: This is the form which you desire

Enjoy your travels!

  1. I have used a lot of juicers in the past and I created this blog to help juice lovers make the right decision in choosing the type of juicer that best fit their needs. There are several good masticating juicers to choose from.
